Aquatics Coaches Training

Aquatics Coaches Training registration deadline is June 3 by 12:00 p.m.

Special Olympics Texas - Central Texas Area will host an Aquatics Coaches Training on June 18, 2011. If you are over the age of 15 and interested in sharing your talents with an athlete with intellectual disabilities, then we are looking for you! There is no cost to be trained and no experience is necessary.

There are 2 parts to Coaches Training.  Please choose your registration ticket accordingly.

1.)  The theory part teaches you about the SOTX Information Guide (SIG) and is only taken once and is required for NEW coaches

2.) The clinical part teaches you about the specific sport and is taken whenever someone wants to become certified to coach that sport. 

A practicum of 10 hours is required after the coaches training in order for certification to be complete. 

We would love the opportunity to teach you how to work with the athletes of Special Olympics Texas.

Physical Address: 2310 Bliss Spillar Road

Directions to the pool area: Enter campus at 10mph and go straight along tree-lined drive until you can only take a right. The pool will be right in front of you and then the Learning Center is next to the pool. Parking will be available on the right in front of the administration building.
